Investing in a fund on DragonFi keeps costs simple. DragonFi doesn't charge its own fees on funds; the main cost is the fund's trust fee, which is already built into the price. Here's the full picture.
Does DragonFi charge a fee to invest in funds?
No. DragonFi does not charge any fees when you invest in funds. There's no sales charge to buy in and no charge to redeem, so your full amount goes to work for you.
What is the trust fee?
The main cost of any UITF is the trust fee, charged by the fund manager for running the fund. The important thing to understand is that this fee is already deducted from the fund before its daily price is calculated. You don't pay it as a separate charge; it's reflected in the NAVPU (the daily unit price) you see. So the returns shown are already after the trust fee.
Are there other costs?
For feeder funds and funds of funds, which invest in other overseas funds, you also indirectly shoulder the small expenses of those underlying funds. Like the trust fee, these are already reflected in the fund's price rather than billed to you separately. Trust fees vary from fund to fund, and tend to be lower for index funds and higher for actively managed ones.
Where do I see the exact fee?
The current trust fee for each fund is shown on its page in the DragonFi app. Because fees can change over time, the app is always your most up-to-date source.
Good to know
Because all fund costs are built into the daily price, there are no hidden charges to track and nothing to pay on the side. When comparing funds, a lower trust fee leaves more of the return with you, though it's only one factor; the fund's strategy and how it fits your goals matter just as much.
